Honing Kit

The Ashley Iles honing kit comprises:

6" Stitched Polishing Mop
4" Rubberised Carbide Wheel
6" Dressing Stick
7oz(200g) of Green Abrasive Soap.

All tools which are sent out honed & ready for use by Ashley Iles are honed using this very same system. With this kit it is possible to make your own honing machine using a grinder which revolves with the top of the wheel running away from the user. A speed of 2800 to 3000 rpm is recommended. Full instructions written by Ian Nicol for building and using the honing kit are supplied free of charge.

Unfortunately the Rexon bench grinder Ashley Iles used to convert into the honing machine is no longer available.
